Fuel pellets are a clean, safe form of energy

Vapo’s wood and peat pellets, and mixed wood/peat pellets, are clean natural products made from sawdust and shavings that are by-products of wood processing plants, or from milled peat. As a result the ash resulting from the combustion of these pellets can be utilized.

Combustion of wood pellets does not increase carbon dioxide emissions attributable to energy production because the carbon dioxide that is released is bound into new tree growth. Wood pellets, like other wood fuels, are in practical terms sulphur-free fuels. When the combustion equipment is correctly set up carbon monoxide and nitrogen emissions remain low because, thanks to the consistent quality of the fuel and uniform fuel feed, the combustion process remains under control.
