Higher peak power and improved reliability

Peat and wood pellets are ideally suited for use as both a main and auxiliary fuel in power plants of all sizes. Thanks to their high energy content and consistent quality, pellets can be used to raise the peak power and reliability of all solid fuel plants. Pellet priming provides power plants with clear savings in both fuel and operating costs.

The most efficient way to implement pellet priming is to use a separate priming silo. This automatically feeds the pellets into the flow of other fuel in exactly the right quantity according to the power demand.

The silo can either be acquired by the plant as a normal investment, or it can be acquired through Vapo as part of a fuel contract. In the latter case the customer pays only for the fuel that is used.
