Leading producer of pellets in Europe

Vapo is Europe’s leading supplier of biofuel pellets. It supplies wood, peat and mixed fuel pellets. Vapo has 14 pellet factories in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Poland.

Vapo supplies pellets predominantly for heating purposes in Finland, Sweden and Denmark, where boilers either heat individual buildings or district heating networks; pellets are also supplied for power generation in Central European power plants.

Total deliveries by Vapo Pellets in 2009 amounted to 563,000 tonnes.
