Peat Museum and Environment Trail

Vapo Oy has built self-guided environment trails in some areas that have been released from peat production.
One of the environment trails is located at the Aitoneva peat production site near Kihniö, about 120 kilometres north-west of Tampere.
There is also a peat museum in the area.
Driving instructions
From Kihniö, drive about 5 km along Main Road 23 towards Virrat, and you will find a sign leading to the Museum and the Environment Trail.
The distance to Virrat is about 28 kilometres. The Museum and the Environment Trail are about 2.5 km south of the main road.
The trail starts from the parking area.
